Looking for something different, entertaining and educational for your kids to do while you’re staying in one of our Orlando vacation homes?
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has introduced a new tour, The Launch Control Center tour. The new tour gives guests access to the firing room where all space shuttles were controlled from 2006 onward. Also included: the main launch countdown clock and the “bubble room,” where the KSC managers watched the action below.
The tour costs $25 ($19 for ages 3-11) in addition to visitor complex admission. The Launch Control Center tour — along with the already-running Vehicle Assembly Building tour — will be available through the end of 2012 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration.
