Orlando Vacation News – Universal Orlando has been posting hints online about what the new addition will be to its Orlando destination. Three theme park analysts predict a Despicable Me attraction will bring new family fun to central Florida.
Are the minions moving to central Florida? Seth Kubersky wrote a guide book called “Universal Orlando 2011.” His bet is the theme park will open a Despicable Me attraction to replace Jimmy Neutron.
He says, “It’s a recent film hit of Universal’s. It’s a film that Universal owns so they don’t have to pay licensing rights.”
Kubersky adds Universal would not have to spend a lot of money to convert the Jimmy Neutron space over to Despicable Me and they could use existing hardware to make a high tech simulator ride.
Sierra mote plans to visit Universal Orlando Friday. She thinks a despicable attraction would be adorable. “A lot of people love that movie. A lot of people love it. Even friends my age, like college students thought it was a really fun and cute movie.”
Universal is also expected to announce an update to the popular Amazing Adventures of Spiderman Ride. People who rode it over the last few days say it has gone high tech. Universal has replaced the old film projectors with digital 3D, for a new modern look.
