Orlando Vacation News: Legoland Florida Opening Water Park on May 26

If you are planning an Orlando vacation this summer you will have one more option to add to your list of Orlando water parks. Legoland Florida theme park, which opened in Winter Haven in October, has announced the opening date for its water park.  The attraction, which includes remodeled versions of Cypress Gardens’ old Splash Island on the site, will be ready May 26, the Saturday before Memorial Day, it was announced Friday.

The water park area is incorporated into the main portion of Legoland.  To experience the slides, waves pool, lazy river and other elements, guests must purchase a $12 ticket on top of regular Legoland admission. There is no water-park-only option.

The water park will be included in the Legoland annual pass which sells for $179 ($149 for ages 3-12 and 60 and older). For more information, go to www.legoland.com.
